In continued efforts to source and sell local and American grown floral product, Potomac Floral Wholesale has joined the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers. This association aims to “educate, unite, and support commercial cut flower growers. It does this by providing production and marketing information; connecting members through events and communications; supporting floriculture research; and encouraging the purchase and use of locally grown flowers by the public. Its mission is to help growers produce high-quality floral material, and to foster and promote the local availability of that product.”

As a flower wholesaler, Potomac partners frequently with Mid-Atlantic farms to purchase local, fresh floral product. By buying local and American grown flowers, we are investing in our local economy, supporting small farmers, and reducing our carbon footprint. While we can’t source every stem, every day of the year locally because of demand and seasonality, our ASCFG membership is a dedication and a commitment to choose local growers and local product whenever possible.
