The 2017 Potomac Floral Show and Design Competition was an incredible success and on behalf of our team, we would like to thank you for spending the day with us. It was great to have the opportunity to see so many industry leaders in the same room, having a wonderful time.
This event is special for so many reasons and most importantly, it takes place at a time of year when we pine for brilliant foliage and colorful stunning blooms to brighten our senses. The Flower Show renders up an impressive and awe-inspiring imagery and so much more!
Some of the most unforgettable highlights of the show include the wonderful live music by the talented Lena Seikaly, and the delicious food, by Milloff's Catering. From the presentations to the meeting new friends and engaging in conversation, so much fun was a guaranteed take a way!
The vendor exhibits were a smash hit, delivering the newest products and sharing their expert knowledge. We are truly thankful for our amazing vendors, who travelled from all parts of the world to join us on this special occasion.
The Annual Design Competition is always a delightful attraction. This year's "A Festival of Spring." theme challenged 15 local designers to show off their skills and passion for flower design. A six person panel of experienced judges chose the very best to award tops honors.
A riveting and inspiring presentation, "Events and Trends in Living Color" by our dynamic guest speakers Jodi Duncan and Jody McLeod, created a heart pounding excitement throughout the building. We are so fortunate to have a team of assistants willing to volunteer their time to help us on show day: Carol Inskeep, AIFD, and Terry Godfrey.
Along with you in the floral community, we strive to educate ourselves on the growing trends, styles and colors popular in different areas of the country. We make every effort to have those items available to you, our customers. The success of the show is possible thanks to the collective efforts of our vendors, suppliers, growers, volunteers, dedicated employees and you, our loyal customers.
